Get rich quick syndrome
Is a very popular phrase among the populace in the world. As the name implies,everybody,both young and old, especially the younger generation wants the short cut to riches, without having to go through the sacrificial and rigorous way to make money. However, no matter how simple a plan or an idea may look like, it takes considerable factors, like time, dedication, handwork, brainstorming and most importantly a start up capital. But, very minimal number of people ,about 15% of people are willing to go through the rigorous steps to achieve success, therefore,about 85% of the mostly youth populace are deceived into embracing quicker means of  making money like armed robbery,.............................
kidnapping, all kinds of fraud, ritual killing and so much more, including terrorism which has seen a recent trend in African countries. This is not an attempt of segregation of a particular geographical location, but, globally, it has become an intensifying act on a daily basis.
How will you explain the phenomenon in a country like the USA, where people die in New York city by the minute  from gunshots, or in South Africa, where rape, guns, drugs and killing runs on the street like a normal thing which was evident in the killing of the popular reggae king, Lucky Dube, also, in Columbia, Mexico where drug peddling and drug related killings seem inevitable on a daily basis, or in Italy where African ladies are been exported to, like commodities in the market to be sex slaves to both human and beasts. These has been very worrisome and we tend to believe that we are victims of circumstance,which we do really have control over most times.
Statistically, it has been proven that the larger number of crimes are been perpetuated by the youths, therefore, there should be some form of sensitization, instilling and initializing sanity and discipline among the youths by government agencies and other related organizations. Would you say people are so wretched and have no second thought when sleeping with beasts like dogs, gorillas, I think this is not about poverty but sanity. The  person in question has psychological defect and needed a therapist, before a wasted life of  disease and suffering will be encountered both physical and spiritual destruction. Or,a suicide bomber  who agrees to tie a bomb to his /her body. Does that mean a man's life is worthless? No, but a problem of sanity.
This has shown great degeneration in the values of life and morals, where ''common sense is not common''.
In my opinion, the youths should be encouraged and trained about anything that fascinates them to acquire skills in different professions.
Youths are advised to read useful articles and books , to sharpen their thinking,because readers are leaders.
Youths should go on self examintion and sober reflection, a process of re-discovering and re-direction if you have missed your steps.
Ask yourself  these questions
  What purpose was I created for?
What are the things I love doing best? List them on a scale of preference.
Develop on these skills/talents and see the ones you are able to perfect the most. Some people started with acting and later became singers.
Follow your passion and be the best you can.
Be self confident and independent,always seek advice from people who has more experience than you.
Package yourself and learn about selling yourself.
In other words, what is your selling point, with due respest,there are some musicians and comedians who are not just there,don't want to mention names, you will be surprised about how much they earn,its all about packaging.
Explore all given opportunities. Opportunity is preparation meet with luck.
